Moldova’s telecommunications authority Anrceti announced its most important projects in 2014 during a meeting held on 20 January. These are the organisation of the licence auction for the use of 800, 900 and 1800 MHz frequency bands in the provision of mobile electronic communications networks and the launch of development and enforcement of the regulatory framework for the implementation of the universal service, following the approval by the Government of the national programme concerning the implementation of this service. During the same meeting held on 20 January, the authority also assessed the work of its subdivisions in 2013 as satisfactory.

Anrceti’s director Grigore Varanita said that the work launched in 2013 will continue in 2014 by enhancing the monitoring processes concerning the number porting service, the compliance with ex-ante obligations imposed on SMP providers, and the compliance of providers with laws concerning end-users legitimate rights and interests.
