Chisinau, April 14. /MOLDPRES/. It is important that Moldova takes over the experience of Romania and the Czech Republic in terms of the European integration process, so that the country quicker gets closer to the European Union. Parliament Speaker Igor Corman made a statement to this effect at a joint briefing with President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania Valeriu Stefan Zgonea and Chair of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamacek, held in Chisinau, today.

Corman said that Moldova had very good bilateral ties with Romania and the Czech Republic, which constantly provided support to Moldova to implement the European agenda. The visa regime liberalisation and signing of the Association Agreement with EU, which we will achieve in 2014, are also due to the support of the two friend states, Corman said.

Jan Ham??ek said the 2014 year was important for Moldova, as parliamentary election would take place, visa free regime would be obtained and the Association Agreement with EU would be signed. The official added that a key moment on the Czech Republics integration path was that all political parties opted for the accession to EU. Ham??ek stressed that an important thing also was to convince people that this path was the correct one.

Valeriu Stefan Zgonea said the two officials visit to Chisinau was a signal of the two countries that a consensus was at the EU level regarding the line chosen by Moldova.

Valeriu Stefan Zgonea and Jan Ham??ek pay a joint official visit to Moldova, on 14-15 April.
