Chisinau, October 8. //. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today met Princess Margareta, daughter of King Mihai I of Romania, and Prince Radu, the governments communication and media relations department has reported.

Leanca warmly welcomed the princely familys presence in Chisinau. “Thank you for your openness and I am grateful to you for the constant support,” said Prime Minister Iurie Leanca. The prime minister referred to the Royal Households donations to more education institutions of Moldova.

For his part, Prince Radu informed on support for Moldova in its European integration, stressing that “everything that seems insurmountable can be overcome.” His Highness thanked the prime minister for his hospitality: “We are very pleased that the most important Moldovan state institutions opened their doors during these three days.”

The sides also discussed projects initiated with Romanias financial support, such as the Ungheni – Iasi gas pipeline, as well as the reconstruction of bridges.

At the end, the parties exchanged gifts. The prime minister presented his guests with a handmade tablecloth.

During three days, the royal family will participate in more cultural events: laying flowers at the monument to Stefan cel Mare, visiting the Curchi Monastery, as well as several villages from the Soroca, Balti and Orhei districts. Princess Margareta is on her first visit to Moldova.
